Ark74 (Luis) share with us some of his story as being part of the Trisquel developers. It's on Spanish but I figure some of you might speak it.
He invited me to a group in which we are trying to create micro groups in Mexico with the objective of promoting Free Software in Mexico.
If you are from Mexico or know of someone that may be interested, please pay us a visit at:

In Spanish we don't see spill the beans but the soup. Hope you guys find his words as interesting as it was for me. Greetings to all.

It's great to see the recent rejuvenation of in-person meetups, for software freedom people, people using GNU/Linux, etc. It would be even more exciting to see them make use of federated MeetUp.com replacements like Mobilizon and Gancio, where groups can post an invitation to an event group on one server and members on a different server can receive a notification and RSVP. A list of known federated events calendar sites can be found here;

For those groups with members already making use of the fediverse, FediHood may also be useful in finding local people to invite to in-person events;
Actually an instance of mobilizon with this purpose https://colsoli.org/ was created, and I published about a libre local event I organized last may in my mastodon account at https://mstdn.mx/@arielenter/116591203789186947 I'm aware much more can be done. A momentum built would be nice. We need to keep the good fight. Greetings all.
